According to the Election Commission of India, 900 million people were eligible to vote, with an increase of 84.3 million voters since the last general election in 2014, making this the largest-ever election in the world. 15 million voters in the age group of 18–19 years are eligible to exercise their right to vote for the first time while 38,325 transgender individuals will be able to vote for the first time as members of the third-sex and not as male or female. 71,735 overseas voters have been enrolled in the electoral rolls for the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

In 2015, an India-Bangladesh boundary agreement was signed, in which the two countries exchanged their enclaves that were entirely surrounded by the other's boundaries. As a result, it will be the first time in which residents of these former enclaves vote in an Indian general election

लोकसभा चुनाव 2019 की घोषणा हो चुकी है और अब देश में चुनाव का माहौल गर्म होने लगा है। इस बार लोकसभा चुनाव 7 चरणों में हो रहा है। इसका पहला चरण 11 अप्रैल, दूसरा चरण 18 अप्रैल, तीसरा 23 अप्रैल, चौथा चरण 29 अप्रैल, 5वां चरण 6 मई, छठा चरण 12 मई और सातवां व अंतिम चरण 19 मई को होगा। 23 मई को मतगणना होगी और 17वीं लोकसभा की तस्वीर साफ हो जाएगी।

गुजरात, पश्चिम में स्थित भारत का एक महत्वपूर्ण राज्य है। गांधीनगर इसकी राजधानी है। राजस्थान, मध्य प्रदेश और महाराष्ट्र राज्य की सामाएं गुजरात से लगती हैं। इसकी अंतरराष्ट्रीय सीमा पर अरब सागर और पाकिस्तान है। राज्य में 26 लोकसभा क्षेत्र और 182 विधानसभा क्षेत्र हैं। सोमनाथ, पालीताना, पावागढ़, अंबाजी भद्रेश्वर, शामलाजी, तरंगा और गिरनार यहां के प्रमुख धार्मिक स्थल हैं जो पूरे भारत में प्रसिद्ध हैं। देशभर से यहां लोग दर्शन करने आते हैं। इनके अलावा यहां का गिर नेशनल पार्क भी काफी प्रसिद्ध है। यहां के ज्यादातर लोग गुजराती भाषा बोलते हैं। गुजराती के अलावा हिंदी भी यहां बोली जाती है लेकिन गुजराती राज्य की प्रमुख भाषा है। विजय रुपाणी के नेतृत्व में इस समय यहां भारतीय जनता पार्टी की सरकार है।

All the BJP and Congress candidates, except five, who are in the fray for the 26 Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat, are'crorepatis', revealed the affidavits submitted by them with their nomination papers.

Four of the five candidates, whose total assets are less than one crore rupees, belong to the tribal community.

Some of the richest candidates from these two major parties include Congress's Mehsana nominee, Ambalal Patel, who has declared assets worth Rs 69.9 crore.

Three candidates of the Congress and two BJP nominees have declared assets less than Rs one crore.

Mansukh Vasava, the sitting BJP MP from Bharuch, who is seeking his re-election for the sixth time, has declared assets worth Rs 68.35 lakh.

Congress candidate Sherkhan Pathan, who is pitted against Vasava, has declared assets of Rs 33.4 lakh.

Naresh Maheshwari, the Congress candidate from Kutch, has declared total assets of Rs 38.13 lakh.

Gujarat is a state in west India and has 26 seats in the Lok Sabha of which 2 are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 4 are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.  Gujarat  also sends 11 members to the Rajya Sabha. There are 183 Assembly constituencies in the state and the last Assembly elections were held in December 2017.

According to the latest available data, there are a total of 4,47,69,985 eligible voters in Gujarat, of which 2,32,80,542 are male, 2,14,88,390 female and 1,053 voters of the Third Gender. The state can be divided into 4 region(s): North Gujarat, Saurashtra, Central Gujarat, South Gujarat.
