Eligibility Criteria for BRAOU B.Ed Admission 2019

B.Ed.- ODL (Recognised by NCTE)[Duration 2 years]

• The candidate should be an Indian citizen
• Candidates should have passed with at least 50% of marks either BA/B.Sc./B.Com./BCA/B.Sc. (Home Science)/BBM and/or the Masters Degree in Commerce/Social Sciences/Humanities /Sciences (relevant subject of Methodology) at the time of submitting the application for B.Ed. Entrance Test
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% marks in B.E/B. Tech. with Science/ Mathematics as one of the subjects or any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission into the B.Ed. ODL Program.
• However, the candidates belonging to SC/ST/BC/PH should have secured a minimum of 40% marks in the qualifying exam.
• Candidates who are appearing for final year exam in the Qualifying Exam (Bachelor or a Higher Degree) can also apply. However, they should be required to submit the marks memo and pass certificate of Qualifying Exam at the time of Admission Counselling. Otherwise, they are not allowed for admission.
• Apart from the above, the candidates must fulfil any one of the following conditions as per NCTE-2014 New Regulations
• Should be Trained in-service teachers in elementary Education. (NCTE recognised Teacher training completed in-service Teachers in elementary education i.e. working in Govt/Aided/ MPP/ZPP/Govt. Recognised schools)

Eligibility for GNM ANM Admission:

A candidate who desires admission shall-

3.  have completed 17 years of age on the 31st December of the Academic year 2019 for which the Admission are conducted
4.  Have passed the qualifying Exam From

    (i) The Gujarat Board; or
   (ii) The Central Board of Secondary Education: provided that the school in which the candidate          has studied, is located in the State of Gujarat; or
(iii) The Council of Indian School Certificate Examinations Board, New Delhi: provided that the school in which I.he candidate has studied, is located in the State of Gujarat; or
(iv) The international School Board {International Baccalaureate and Cambridge): provided that the school in which the candidate   has studied, is located in the State of Gujarat; or
(v) The National Institute of Open Schooling: provided that the school in which the candidate has studied, is located in the State of Gujarat

(5) Those candidate, who has passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Standard 12, 10+2 pattern) in the Science Stream, General Stream, vyavsaylakshi stream, uchchatar uttar bunlyadi pravah Stream without English shall be eligible only for admission in ANM course.

How is the B.Sc/ANM/GNM Nursing Merit List 2019 Counted?

As the Gujarat Nursing Committee does not conduct any entrance exam, therefore the selection of the candidates will take place only on the aggregate marks of Class 12th. There will be separate merit for Category candidates as well for Gujarat B.Sc, ANM, and GNM.

Calculation Process Used To Prepare the B.Sc Nursing Merit List

Total Marks for preparing the list will be based on the total marks obtained in the compulsory subjects in 12th Class.

Total Marks = Language Subjects + Best 3 Subjects

The Consortium shall issue an advertisement in two English and two Gujarati prominent newspapers widely circulated in the State and invite an application from the eligible candidates for the admissions to the Gujarat Professional Nursing and Allied Medical Educational Courses on the management seats. The Consortium by advertisement shall notify the date of issue of application forms, centers from where the application forms may be obtained and where IO be submitted, last date for submission of application forms, details of fees to be paid and eligibility criteria and numbers of seats available for admission on the management seats and such other information. as may be necessary in this behalf.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University is the seventh open university in the country. This university functions through 250 study centers across the state. BAOU offers 72 programmes with an enrollment of more than 1,00,000 learners. The distinctive feature of the university is the classification of distance learners into different academic groups so as to serve the need of education and specialization in a much better manner. The entrance to this university will be based on Entrance exam.

The Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) was established by the Act No.14 of 1994 passed by the Gujarat State Legislature and assented to by the Governor of Gujarat on 27th July 1994. The University offers 72 programmes with an enrolment of more than 1,00,000 learners. The headquarters of the university is located at Ahmedabad. The University has established Regional Centre on the campus of South Gujarat University, Rajkot and has initiated the process of another establishing Regional center on the campus of North Gujarat University, Patan. The University has more than 507 study centers. It has jurisdiction over the whole state of Gujarat.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (BAOU) offers admission in various distance UG, PG & Ph.D programmes under regular, professional & vocational streams. These courses are offered in the departments of Management, Commerce, Humanities & Social Science, Commerce, Law, Education & Technology.

Admission for Vocational & Professional courses are made twice in a year i.e. in the months of January & June respectively. Term end examinations are conducted in the months of January & June every year.  The University also conducts an entrance test to offer admission in B.Ed programme.

BAOU Result

Students can check result for several Certificate, PG Diploma, Bachelor, Ph.D & Vocational courses by visiting the official website of BAOU. Students are advised to follow the below mentioned steps:

Visit to the official website of the BAOU.
In the main menu, click on the ‘Student’s Corner’ section.
In the drop down menu, click on the ‘results’ section.
Now you will be redirected to the result listing page.
Select your course category & year.
Now enter your registration number & submit.

BAOU B.Ed Entrance Test Result

BAOU conducts B.Ed Entrance Test to grant admission in B.Ed programme. The University has recently released the merit list for B,Ed on its official website. Students can check the result by going through steps as given under:

Visit to the official website & click on the result section.
You will be redirected to the result page.
Enter your form number & submit.
Save & download the score card for future use.
BAOU Evaluation Procedure
BAOU follows below listed methods to calculate the progress of a student for Distance Education Programmes:

Self-Evaluation: At the end of self-Instruction Manual, there are certain exercises which are required to be performed by students.
Continuous Evaluation: Students have to complete the number of assignments allotted by the study centers. The weightage is 30% for assignments per subject.
Term End Examination: Term End Examinations are conducted at the end of each academic year or semester. Final degree will be given on the basis of student’s performance in the TEE.
BAOU Examination for Repeaters

Students, who fails in the term end examination of BAOU, may enroll again in the course by paying INR 200 per subject as exam fee. Students can obtain the examination form from University’s study centers.
