GANDHINAGAR: The GUJARAT Cabinet on THURSDAY approved an additional 2 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Central government employees. The hike will come into effect from July 1, 2018.

The Cabinet, chaired BY NITINBHAI PATEL has also approved to release an additional instalment of Dearness Relief (DR) to pensioners. The additional hike of 2 per cent is over the existing rate of 7 per cent of the Basic Pay or Pension, to compensate for the price rise.

The combined impact on the exchequer on account of both Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief would be Rs 6112.20 crore per annum and Rs.4074.80 crore in the financial year 2018-19 (for a period of 8 months from July 2018 to February 2019).

The Cabinet decision will benefit about GUJARAT Government employees and 62.03 lakh pensioners.

The increase is in accordance with the accepted formula, based on the recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission.

GSEB is the acronym of Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. This educational board is responsible for the conduction of Xth and XIIth standard board examination in Gujarat.

GSEB conducts the class 10 and class 12 exams for the students studying under the Gujarat board. The exams are held in the month of March and the results of which are out by the end of May. Pariksha Pe Charcha Karyakram watcah Online Link Collection

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Tuesday hold his second “Pariksha Pe Charcha” in which he will interact with 2,000 students from high school to college, along with their parents and teachers.

The event will be held at Talkatora Stadium and telecast live.

“It is a unique interaction where students, teachers, parents and the Prime Minister will come together to discuss issues related to exams and the stress connected to that,” the Human Resource Development Ministry said in a statement.

While last year, only students of Delhi-NCR participated in the event, this year, students from all over India as well as Indian students residing abroad, including in Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Nepal, Doha, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Singapore, would be participating.

Around 675 students from many states and union territories have already arrived in Delhi for the event, it said. Selected students will be allowed to ask questions to the Prime Minister on study-related matters.

Ahead of the exam season, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address students, teachers and parents at the ‘Pariksha pe Charcha’ programme on January 29.

“It was suggested that I talk about exams warriors, however, I am happy to inform you that I will hold a special session ‘Pariksha par Charcha’ to address the students of the country,” said PM Modi said at his ‘Mann ki Baat’ radio programme on Sunday.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will organize the Class 12 board examination from February 15 to April 3, while the Class 10 board examination will be held from February 21 to March 29.

The PM recalled the contribution of Subhas Chandra Bose towards India’s Independence movement and said he will always be remembered as a heroic soldier.

“He (Subhas Chandra Bose) awakened India through slogans such as ‘Dilli chalo’ and ‘Tum mujhe khoon do mein tumhe azaadi doonga,” said Modi.

The second edition of ''Pariksha Pe Charcha 2.0'' will see Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacting with a total of 2,000 students, parents and teachers on January 29 in the national capital.
The interaction will revolve around issues related to examinations and the stress connected to them.

For the first time, students from all over India and also Indian students residing abroad are participating. Last year only Delhi/NCR students were allowed to participate.

Indian students from countries like Russia, Nigeria, Iran, Nepal, Doha, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore will be taking part in the interaction.

According to a statement of Union Ministry of Human Resource Development, the participants also include college students from 24 States and Union Territories. Already, 675 students from different States and Union Territories have arrived in Delhi.
